UOW Global Enterprises (UOWGE) is a subsidiary group of the University of Wollongong and is aligned to the University’s strategic objectives of international student growth.
Established in 1988, UOWGE owns and operates the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), UOW College Australia (UOWCA), UOW College Hong Kong (UOWCHK) and UOW Malaysia (UOWM).
UOWGE is at the forefront of delivering quality higher and vocational education and training on an international scale with our institutions offering more than 200 programs including higher education, vocational training, English language and professional development programs to nearly 18,000 students annually.
Our commitment to quality underpins the UOWGE Strategic Plan 2020-2025 and is core to all operations across UOWGE. The Plan has been developed to facilitate UOWGE’s continued success and support our vision of being a leading global education provider delivering transformative student experiences.

Established in 1985, UOW Global Enterprises is a subsidiary of the University of Wollongong, which owns and operates UOW College Australia, the University of Wollongong in Dubai, UOW College Hong Kong, and the recently acquired University Colleges of Malaysia private higher education provider KDU.
UOW Global Enterprises is contributing to the University of Wollongong's core strategy of becoming a truly global University. We're at the forefront of delivering quality education, and with the inclusion of KDU Malaysia, we offer over 160 courses in the higher education, vocational education and training, and English-language sectors, as well as professional development programs to over 18,500 students annually. With the inclusion of KDU Malaysia, we employ more than 1,550 staff in 4 countries. Supporting a culture of diversity and equity, our vision is to be a global education provider delivering transformative student experiences. Our mission is to enhance UOW's global reputation by delivering international student growth and providing pathways to the University.
Since opening its doors in 1988, UOW College Australia has helped more than 31,000 students from over 70 nations continue their education as well as meet their personal and career goals. Its success lies in the delivery of English language courses, academic pathway programs, higher education diplomas, and vocational education and training.
The University of Wollongong in Dubai is arguably Australia's most successful offshore higher education institution. First established in 1993 as an English Language Center, it currently has 3,500 students from over 100 nationalities. A new purpose-built campus will become operational in 2020.
UOW College Hong Kong is recognized as a premier pathway University College, offering associate degrees and providing quality tertiary education for over 6,000 students. UOW College Hong Kong recently received status as a university college, and has Cap 320 status.
KDU University Colleges have over 50 years of history and currently have approximately 5,500 students, with capacity to expand to 13,000 students. The KDU University College campuses are located in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, with a new campus under construction in Batu Kawan.
UOW Global Enterprises' vision is for KDU University Colleges to transition to University of Wollongong Malaysia, a self-accrediting international university. Our talented and dedicated staff are the key to our success, which drives our relentless focus on the attraction, development, and retention of staff. We ensure all staff are valued, empowered, and respected. We provide both cross-skilling opportunities as well as global employment opportunities. We will continue to facilitate best practice teaching and learning through professional development initiatives focusing on the use of new technology.
