On Thursday 29 July, UOW College Australia delivered a webinar as part of a Digital Learning Best Practices Series. This series is being hosted by Austrade (Malaysia), in partnership with the Ministry of Education (Malaysia) and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). Primary and high school teachers from all over Malaysia were invited to attend UOW College’s session entitled “Tips and Techniques for Non-Tech Teachers”.
The webinar was hosted by Nikki Cole, with content presented by Sharn Hammond and Annette Edlin from our ELICOS Program, demonstrating digital teaching resources, tips and tools that have proved valuable in our transition to remote learning. The session was designed to give teachers confidence in embracing a broader range of web-based digital tools to enhance the skills of teachers.
There were 425 participants at the webinar, consisting of teachers from many disciplines all around Australia, and also attended by staff from Austrade, MOE and MDEC. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase UOW College’s programs and offerings in Australia and at our various off-shore campuses, and to highlight the expertise and excellence of our teaching staff here at UOW College Australia.
Thanks to Sharn and Annette for presenting such an excellent webinar, and to Marion Finlay and Leanne Montgomery for providing very capable assistance behind the scenes.
