Chartered Accountants Delegation at UOW College Hong Kong

A team from Chartered Accountants Australia + New Zealand paid a visit to UOW College Hong Kong on 21 July 2023.

The visiting team was made up of Simon Grant, Geraldine Magarey, and Elizabeth Chan. The goal was to discuss the potential for adding Chartered Accountants training into the college's academic offerings.

Currie Tsang, the College President, set the stage by giving an overview of the college’s history and its links with the University of Wollongong in Australia. Kenneth Chong followed up by outlining the programmes the college offers, with a focus on accounting degrees and current job market demands.

Simon Grant spoke about the relationship between CPA Hong Kong and Chartered Accountants Australia + New Zealand, adding another layer to the discussion. The dialogue was insightful and laid the groundwork for potential future collaborations.

After the meeting, Vice President Charlie Choi led the delegation on a campus tour, showcasing blended learning initiatives and student facilities. These included an aviation lab, an engineering lab, a design studio, and a maritime simulation lab, which all received positive remarks from the visitors.
