At UOW Global Enterprises (UOWGE) we take great pride in our longstanding commitment to fostering an environment where all employees, regardless of gender, can thrive and reach their full potential. This is evidenced by our achievement of twenty-three continuous years as a Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer of Choice Gender Equality Citation holder.
As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability, we are pleased to present our Gender Pay Gap data for 2023-2024 for public reporting via the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA). Our results reflect our ongoing efforts to close the gender pay gap and promote equal opportunities for all employees, regardless of gender. Our latest data highlights both the progress we have made and the areas where we will continue to focus our efforts.
Our Gender Pay Gap results in 2024 demonstrate the impact of the actions we have taken to continue doing our part to close the gender pay gap. Most notably in 2024, we reduced our combined UOWGE and UOW College total remuneration average Gender Pay Gap from 9.0% to 5.1% which is considerably less than the Industry Benchmark of 7.1%. This result marks a meaningful step forward toward our goal of reducing the Gender Pay Gap to below the WGEA target of less than 5%.
We are also proud that we have preserved a base salary median Gender Pay Gap of 0.0% significantly less than the Industry Benchmark at 8.4%. In addition, our median total remuneration Gender Pay Gap sits at -1.1% compared to the Industry Benchmark of +8.2% and is significant less than the WGEA target. These results are a testament to our dedication to gender equality which is a cornerstone of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy. We are proud that we have achieved the objectives outlined in our 2023-2024 Gender Equality Strategy.
We understand that dedication to improving gender equality is a continuous journey. The latest results will inform the development of our new strategic direction for 2025-2026 which will include reviewing and redefining our employee value proposition, remuneration and benefits strategies, recruitment practices, and flexible working arrangements to ensure our practices align with our gender equality goals and support our people in balancing their careers with other obligations.
At UOWGE we understand that true gender equality requires sustained effort, we remain committed to creating an inclusive workplace where every employee feels valued, respected, and has equal opportunities to succeed.
